Clinic Level Descriptions

LEVEL II – An intermediate clinic for women with a minimum of three years rowing experience and who receive coaching on a regular basis. The clinic focus is on drills. Rowing is primarily by 4s and 6s, giving the athlete a stable and balanced boat in which to work on stroke development.

Level II is also open to advanced rowers who want to build a stronger foundation of stroke mechanics by breaking down the stroke into the basics.

LEVEL III  – An advanced clinic for women with a minimum of three years of racing and coaching experience. A coach’s recommendation is requested.

NOTE: Many women come to Lemon Bay Crew Club clinics from cold weather clubs and have not been on the water for at least several weeks. At LBCC clinics, the focus is on stroke mechanics (working by 6s), then blending different rowing styles to row all eight in short and steady state pieces.

**A clinic for Lemon Bay Crew Club members will be conducted Jan 27 – 29. Please check with cath_spen@yahoo.com for availability.
