Learn To Row
Spokane River Rowing Association (SRRA) offers the opportunity each summer to learn the rowing stroke on the water as well as on the ergometer (indoor rowing machine).
These summer sessions are for men and women (high school age and older) who are interested in trying a new sport and adding a fun dimension to their summer schedule.
Each two-week session will be made up of two lessons on the ergometer and four rowing lessons on the water in actual rowing shells! You will learn the basics about the rowing stroke as well as how to use the indoor machine to train on your own. Basic boathouse terminology and boat/oar handling skills will also be part of your experience.
The cost for the two-week session is $80.00 and covers the 6 lessons you will receive. Once “new” rowers have completed their two-week “Learn-to-Row” session, they can continue working on their rowing skills with Novice practices.
If you are interested in learning to row, please contact SRRA at LTR@spokanerowing.org to submit your contact information or to have additional questions answered.
We look forward to rowing with you next summer!
