How can I participate if I don't want to row?
SRRA is often in need of experienced coxswains or those willing to learn to be coxswains. Please contact us if you are interested. Don't know what a coxswain is? The coxswain is the person in charge of a boat, specifically, he/she steers the boat and directs the speed and rhythm of the rowers.

What is the difference between the Learn To Row and Master's session?
Learn to row is for individuals who have no previous rowing experience or need a basic refreshment of their rowing skills. The Master's sessions are for rowers who have already completed the Learn To Row program or have rowed previously at a different rowing club or program.

What about insurance?
SRRA has liability insurance through USRowing, and requires all members to maintain USRowing membership, which provides additional individual insurance coverage.
For USRowing membership, go to USRowing Membership.
Full USRowing membership includes insurance coverage as outlined in USRowing Individual Benefits pages in the USRowing membership brochure.
All participants are required to sign the USRowing waiver. USRowing members can sign this waiver on-line at the USRowing Membership website.

Can you offer any other online resources about rowing?
Want to learn more about the rowing community, or area clubs? Take a look at our links page. To add your club's link, please contact webmaster@spokanerowing.org.

I'm visiting Spokane, is it possible to come row with the Spokane River Rowing Association during my stay here?
Visiting Spokane this Summer? Come join us while you are enjoying the Lilac City. We charge a nominal $10 fee per session, and request advance notice and information from you so we can add you to our roster for insurance purposes. Please download and return the SRRA_Guest_Rowing_Form.
